An Example Entry Control System

The new barrier has been installed at a local college for the safety of pupils from the grammar school, so they can use the path to the field between the tennis courts and the sports hall. It has also been erected to keep the lower half of the drive safe for our College in situations like fire drills. The system was paid for by the government, who made the decision on the field. It works by using a swipe card, which is issued to all staff. It can be locked in the upright position to prevent misuse. A microprocessor is installed inside, which logs the amount of cards being used. To leave the College, a built-in metal detector is beneath the tarmac, which raises the barrier. The electricity supply runs from the sports hall.
