Meet The Headteacher

Christine  Fithyan
Headteacher at  Hatters Lane School

Welcome to our web page which first went live on 28th May 1999.  We hope that it will give you a flavour of our school, although words are not enough to reflect the energy, commitment and enthusiasim of a school at work, nor the excitememt of students gaining success.

With our students we are determined to grow from strength to strength, offering a curriculum which puts the needs of students first and an ethos that promotes both self-reliance and co-operation as well as achievement.

At Hatters Lane, we value all our students equally but we also value their right to be different and to excel in different ways. We respect our students equally and we believe all of them can be helped to develop further and learn more, provided they too play their part.

We expect our students to work hard, to enjoy school life, to wear their school uniform and do their homework.  We wish to create an environment in which all students can feel happy and secure and one which encourages them to develop self-confidence and independance so that when they leave they do so as assured and caring young women and men.  Our belief is that education is a life-long process and a positive school experience establishes an excellent foundation.
