Description
A blocked History Unit for Year 3, covering the history of the British
Isles from 55BC to the early 11th century, and the ways in which British
society was shaped by different people.
Resources
Maps, sagas, legends, timelines, posters, 'horrible' histories, CD-Roms,
Internet.
Historical Enquiry
- Who were the Romans/Anglo-Saxons/Vikings and where did they originate?
- Why did they come to Britain?
- How did they control the country?
- What was their way of life, and what evidence of it has susrvived?
- Did the Invaders make life better or worse for the indigenous people?
