The discovery of electromagnetism and electricity!

The discovery of magnetism, electromagnetism and electricity basically came at the same time. This is because they are related to each other.

A solenoid is a good example of the relation between electricity and magnetivity.

As in the diagram you can see that the solenoid whose length is large in comparison with it’s diameter. The magnetic field that is produced by the solenoid is very similar with that of a normal bar magnet, but the poles depend on the current direction. ( see diagram below)
