The background is white. There are little squares, larger squares and rectangles. The little squares are in rows (horizontal and vertical rows!). But the rows are not at equal distances from each other. Between the rows of little squares there are bigger squares - I'll explain about the sizes in a minute. Some of the bigger shapes are rectangular. They are not equally spread across the painting. In some of the biggest squares are some small squares like the ones in the rows ( don't forget them!!!). The colours of the squares are
- grey
- blue
- yellow
- red
- white
- black
- grey-green
It's a very bright painting, it makes you happy. It also looks chaotic because of the unordered squares but still ordered because of the rows of little squares between them. The whole painting is a square shape that has been turned 45 degrees. You also have different sizes in the squares/rectangles like we told you before. There are:
- little squares 2 cm by 2 cm
- medium squares 5 cm by 5 cm
- medium rectangles 5 cm by 7 cm
- medium rectangles 2 cm by 5 cm
- large squares 7 cm by 7 cm (there are two of them, white, a bit lower than the middle of the painting, the other one is at the lowest point of the painting, only a part of the square is shown.
