On the right at the front you see a large expensive house. Slightly more to the left and further back there is a second house. At the total back there is a low wall with a small gate in it. Behind this wall, at the total left of the painting, there is another expensive house.

The houses aren't modern and probably built in the 19th century. There is a square or street made of cobbles. Between the square and the house there is a sidewalk.

It's a sort of village, but there aren't any people on the street.

In the houses are a lot of large windows. On the closest house there is a balcony.

There are dark clouds above the village. It looks like it's going to rain any moment, but the sun breaks through. On the top left there is a light spot in the clouds. The houses are in the sunshine.
