I'm fairly new to the big wide world of computing and of the internet. I do most of my internet work at school as we have only just recently got our own PC, and it is not as yet hooked up to the internet, hence my page being connected via the school's link! But hey, school's a topic no-one likes to talk about, so, moving swiftly on....
So, It looks like my web page is turning into
one like most other people's; sharing my love of a certain topic with
the rest of the world....Well, you're wrong!! But, to some extent
I am going to try and introduce you to "my world" as I like to refer to
it as (Yes, I am a power freak.) So, I'll start with my main love in
life (other that my boyf. - I know, I know, soppy!) but, here we are;
Music I lurve and am driving my family and neighbours mad with at the moment; Now 39- what a brilliant CD! Having bought it fairly recently, I find myself listening to CD 1 most, Billie Myers - "Kiss The Rain" being my favourite track, hotly followed by; Space with Cerys of Catatonia - "The Ballad Of Tom Jones", The Verve "Lucky Man", and Robbie Williams - "Angels".
After years of thinking of myself as almost "normal", I have woken up to the realisation that not many people my age dote on Phil Collins and Genesis in quite the same way that I do! However, I pay no attention to their "Who's Phil Collins?" or "Never heard of Genesis, who are they?" and carry on with my own tastes, so much so, that I have decided to make a statement on the www! Personally, I adore the songs "Hello Goodbye", "Inside Out" and "In The Air Tonight". I feel better now that you all know that! I hate to confess that my like of Phil turned into an obsession after going out with a certain Lee Adach for.... 2 months, was it? The only regret that has sprung from that relationship is that I didn't get there first, dumping, chucking him (call it what you will) on the Monday we went to see "From A Jack To A King" - I was gonna, you know!
Back on track... other artists, tracks and albums I love:
Robbie Williams - "Life Thru A Lens".
The Rembrandts - "LP" - most of you only know the illusive "FRIENDS" theme song by this band, but believe me, the album's worth another look!
Oasis - need I say more? We are the mods!
The Beatles - I Love you!
Aqua - yes, you read it right! AQUA!!!!! - the album's great if you like Barbie Girl, and don't mind listening to it with different lyrics, under different titles 11 times! Nah, it's good really, "Turn Back Time" - great song from an apparently great film (which I've yet to see).
Jamiroquai - Travelling Without Moving - "High Times" wow!
George Michael - Older, Faith, brilliant albums!
The Audience - A little heard of band, well worth looking out for - their recent single, Blur - "Song 2" - totally flopped on the charts, but for those of you owning "Fifa 97" ( I confess, I do), and the album, you'll know it... Woo hoo! "A Pessimist Is Never Disappointed" - excellent! The "B" side is also brilliant, about two of the male obsessions; Don't scoff like that please Sir, it's been verified to me by my recent and past boyfriends.... I know where I stand... In running order, 1) Booze, Mates. FOOTBALL...............9999999) Girls.
The Full Monty Soundtrack -
Trainspotting Soundtrack- couldn't live without it!
The X Files Soundtrack - Mark Snow, are you God?
The last three CD titles bring me on to my next topic, my love of the film, (and with the rest of the teenage generation) television; Get these! Trainspotting, Romeo and Juliet, The Basketball Diaries, (Leo, mail me!?!) THE FULL MONTY!!!!!! The X Files, (David Duchovny, Leave Tea (with her little accent over the e), darlin' I'm yours! I lurve those red speedos!) Like many X Files fans, I am waiting on the film..... The review will be here first! Red Dwarf, again another habit I picked up from an ex-boyfriend. Ta Craig. Pulp Fiction...... what can I say?!? Scream... The best film in the world says me! Who'd have thought it was (close your eyes if you don't wanna know!) Billy and Stu? Hey, if you loved that film the way I love it, get yourself down to the cinema and see Scream 2, pure class.. You'll NEVER GUESS who it is this time, such a twist, amazing! I want the soundtrack for that one! And I can't wait to get it on video!
