Graphics -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A little graphics in your page can go a long way in making it more apealing to the reader, it can say what's dificult to say in wordsBut it can also create a large phone bill for the person reading it, especially if they have a slow modem. There are many ways of getting pictures. Clipart, Photo CD, or you can find many graphics on the internet. Whichever way you find graphics, it must first be saved in GIF format, i.e. image.GIF. To save it in .GIF format, you must use a image editing program such as LView Pro 1.B, or Paint Shop Pro (shareware) with one of these programes, you can make many ajustents to your graphic as well as save it in GIF format afterwards.

IMPORTANT:It is important that the graphic you use is royalty free.

Transprrent GIFs

Transparrent GIFs can have a very good efect on some of your images. The name isn't really appropriate, it isn't part of HTML, i.e. there is no tag for it. A transparrent gif is an image with one colour made transparrent by the image editing program, so that colour will appear in the browser'r background colour (grey), is is especially usefull for awkwardly shaped images. You can see many examples of transparrent gif's in the Glantaf homepage, here is another ecsample

I used a shareware program called L View Pro 1.B to create the transparrent GIFs on these pages. You can download this program from the Links page
