Welcome to Hamsteels Primary School

Hamsteels Primary School is a small rural school in the old colliery village of Esh Winning, 4 miles west of Durham.  It is a modern open planned school accommodating 80 pupils between the ages of 4 and 11 years in 3 mixed age classes.

We are a friendly, family orientated school meeting the needs of individual children.  We are a school that strives for excellence in all areas of the curriculum.
