The visit of an HMI

HMI Phil Davies visited the School on Friday 6 December 1996 - his visit proved to be very successful, and his main findings were:-

· the quality of teaching and learning was good

· the quality of leadership and management was commendable

· our GCSE results have improved again, with 40% A*-C grade, and 28.4% of our students with 5 or more A-C grades

· our A Level results have improved significantly, with an 83% pass rate!

All in all, Mr Davies was pleased with the continuing progress which the School is making, but we shall be continuing to improve: watch this space for further developments!
