It is estimated that by the year 2000, 75% of all
jobs will require a good working knowledge of IT.
Increasingly, this will mean Internet and Intranet skills
in terms of both information retrieval and web authoring.
The development of a web
site meets the core skills requirement of
vocational qualifications such as the GNVQ.
Students will develop skills in the key areas of Communication and Information Technology, and
will be introduced to new working practices in
preparation for the working environments many will soon
