In-service Courses for Year 5 and Year 6 Teachers
Summer Term 2002

Planned in association with South Tyneside LEA, two special courses have been organised for teachers in Year 5 and Year 6. Both courses will comprise of four full days, and will be held at St.Mary's RC Primary School, Ayr Drive, Jarrow. The courses are designed to help teachers working in these year groups to deliver the QCA ICT Scheme of work.
The courses are advertised in the LEA Inset Book, and applications should be made in the normal way. The first session will be held on Thursday 25th April, beginning at 9.00 a.m
., with further sessions on 9th, 16th and 23rd May. The Year 6 Course begins on 30th May, and continues on 13th June, 4th and 11th July.

Coming soon: an accredited course for Primary ICT Coordinators

The UK online citizen portal for all government information and services has
now been officially launched, and is being extensively advertised in the
national press. The website contains various search options including a quick find option allowing you to search on UK local and national services.
