  Status: Resident.

Distribution and Abundance: Common.

Primary Habitat: Grassland.

Flight Period: Single brooded in June and July.

Observations: Although the moth does not normally vary, a male example was taken on 3 July 1941 at Gretton with the wings marked with streaks like the female.

L.O.N.: Undated. Very common everywhere.
