| Status:
Resident. Distribution and Abundance: Common. Primary Habitat: Woodland. Flight Period: Single brooded in July and August. Observations: Plentiful on 10 July 1987 at Yardley Chase when twelve were taken at m.v. light. Males are more frequently seen. L.O.N.: 1907. Several localities. Very irregular. In 1903 it was quite common. It seems to like high places as I found three on the roof of the house; all females. The male is more difficult to come across. First Record: 1882, Hull & Tomalin. |
