Distribution and Abundance: Common.

Primary Habitat: General occurrence.

Flight Period: Double brooded in March and April and again in July and August.

Observations: Although present in some midland counties, melanics do not seem to occur in Northamptonshire.

L.O.N.: 1907. Everywhere. Common.
