Distribution and Abundance:  Common. 

Primary Habitat:  Woodland.

Flight Period:  Single brooded from September to November.

Observations:  The moth can be very common in woodland with 150 being recorded at light on 7 November 1994 at Geddington Chase. There was one smoky red-brown moth included in this catch.
