Resident. Distribution and Abundance: Common. Primary Habitat: Woodland. Flight Period: Single brooded in February and March. Observations: A recently emerged wingless female was found on 7 January 1989 in a Gradwell trap left over winter at Geddington Chase. Melanics occur fairly commonly. L.O.N.: 1907. Everywhere. Very common. First Record: 1882, Hull & Tomalin. |
