  Status:  Resident. 

Distribution and Abundance:  Rather local.

Primary Habitat:  Woodland. 

Flight Period:  Single brooded in May and June.

Localities:  Horn Wood, Spanhoe Wood, Collyweston Great Wood  and Castor Hanglands.     

Observations:  The species seems to be more plentiful in oak woodland and can sometimes be common here as on 10 June 1995 at Hazelborough Wood. The Fineshade Rothamsted light trap shows an overall catch of eleven moths in the eight years to 2000 with no moths being recorded in the first four of these years.
