| Status:
Resident. Distribution
and Abundance: Common.
Primary
Habitat: Grassland.
Flight
Period: Single brooded in May and June.
Observations:
Although the species is sometimes known to produce
partial second broods elsewhere in the country, I have
been unable to find any historical or current records
supporting this occurrence in Northamptonshire. This may
be explained by the under recording of the moth
especially in the south of the county.
L.O.N.: 1907.
Several localities. Common locally.
First
Record: 1863, Smith.
