| Status: Resident. Distribution
and Abundance: Local. Primary Habitat: General occurrence. Flight Period: Single brooded in
June and July. Localities: Hazelborough Forest,
Daventry, Wakerley Wood and Collyweston Quarry. Observations: Over the years
records for this moth gradually decreased until by the
early 1990's it had not been seen for some fifteen years.
In 1992 it was found fairly commonly at Easton
Hornstocks, since which time it has spread again in the
county, but is still without recent records in the Soke. L.O.N.: 1907. Several
localities. Often common at sugar. First Record: 1902, Victoria County History. |
