  Status: Resident.

Distribution and Abundance: Very common.

Primary Habitat: General occurrence.

Flight Period: Double brooded from June to September with overlapping broods.

Observations: The second brood was very plentiful at Kelmarsh Lake in August and September 2000 with the reddish ochreous forms predominating.

L.O.N.: 1907. Everywhere. Very common.

First Record: 1882, Hull & Tomalin.
