| Status:
Resident. Distribution and Abundance: Local. Primary Habitat: Woodland. Flight Period: Single brooded from September to November and again after hibernation from March to May. Localities: Greatworth, Hazelborough Forest, Barford Meadows and Wakerley Wood. Observations: The moth was recorded in 1995 after an absence of 133 years. Since then it has continued to increase its range and is probably even more widespread than records suggest. Currently it is producing more records than its congener the Tawny Pinion (L.semibrunnea).
