Distribution and Abundance:  Common.

Primary Habitat:  General occurrence.

Flight Period:  Records extend from April to November, usually peaking in late summer.

Observations:  Extremely variable in abundance, Fineshade Rothamsted light trap records show the following captures: 1993 - 8, 1994 - 51, 1995 - 8, 1996 - 239, 1997 - 7, 1998 - 22 and 1999 - 8.
