| Status:
Resident. Distribution and Abundance: Common. Primary Habitat: Wetland. Flight Period: Single brooded in August and September. Observations: Plentiful at sugar amongst willows and poplars along the River Ise at Newton in August 1991. The moth is also fond of sitting on telegraph poles, and in the past I have found it in this situation within likely habitats in the county. L.O.N.: 1907. Several localities. Rather common. First Record: 1882, Hull & Tomalin. |
