Art Culture
The Second St Petersburg Gymnasium
Our common aim of teaching music, drawing and choreography forms art
culture. The teaching plan of the gymnasium emphasises these subjects more
then in other schools. On the base of programmes created by teachers
and advisers there are ideas such as:
- Art learning is based not only on national traditions, but also on
world art culture;
- Developing ideas about connections between classic
art with music, literature and theatre;
- The main feature is orientation on the art-history values of our
native city.
Saint-Petersburg is considered to be like an object of art, mixing all
the means of art and reflecting the evolution of European culture.

In old times women made this figures themself. They made them out of clay
and then they scorched them and the last thing they did-they painted them.
It was a russian tradition.
