Rave Culture in St Petersburg

In our school people are very different and they have very different hobbies. At first it depends on the age of students. When students of our Gymnasium become teenagers they usually get interested in rave culture.

It is very popular in Russia now, especially in our two capitals Moskow and St. Petersburg. It is en vogue and that's why lots of teenagers try to be ravers. Actually to become a real raver is not very easy, because you should be a very easy-going person, have very special sense of humour and stuff. You should be cute and cool.

In our school this culture and style of life are very popular. A lot of our students are engaged in advertising raves (special discos, when several DJs come and play their own music). They give flyers - special little posters where the place, the DJs who are playing, the time and price are named. There are also some discount flyers, having them you can come to the disco by half a price.

But ravers are not only DJs, they have groups. One of them was made by the last year graduates of our school. Its name is "Underhouse".
