Fun & games to be held Friday 20th February. Tickets are available from Rosmary Mason.

A hot supper will be provided but you will need to bring a tipple to suit your taste.

We hope to see you all there!

DID YOU KNOW?

Have you ever thought about coffee before a game of tennis hoping that  the caffeine would help to invigorate your play?

Recent test have shown that ladies performance was improved by the intake of caffeine.

It helps the release of energy at times of stress, however it will not you the back return that you never had.

Not good news for the chaps as the same test indicated that caffeine had little effect on their game.

DAVIS CUP

You will remember that GB are playing USA in the Davis Cup this year.

The LTA have indicated that the reduced price tickets are offered to all affiliated clubs for the matches on , 2nd,3rd & 4th April.

John Marshall has contacted the National Arena who advise that at the moment only tickets for the Saturday doubles match are available.( £10 reduced to £4 ).

However John is trying to obtain some tickets for the Friday and Sunday Games via Northampton LT A secretary. These will be £9 each ( reduced from £22 for affiliated.

In addition there is some speculation that the LTA will ask for more seating to be installed.

We shall need minimum of ten people for each booking to attract the LTA discount.

Please contact John ( 822142) by Wednesday 20th January if you would like to be included on the booking request and advise which days are preferred.

No guarantees, but we hope to satisfy.

We need to determine whether we have sufficient players to cover the two men's and one ladies team we intend to enter.
