KILSBY

Kilsby is a very pretty village and fairly quiet as long as you live in the middle of Kilsby away from the two close motorways, the M.1 and M.45.  The main road running through the village (A.5) can get busy at rush hours.  Kilsby is between Rugby (5 miles away) and Daventry (6 miles away).  There are also two villages very near, Crick and Barby, each about a mile and a half away.  It is 18 miles away from Coventry, 16 miles to Northampton, 37 miles from Birmingham and 77 miles to London.

Kilsby has about 1400 people and 450 houses.  In Kilsby there are two pubs, The Red Lion and the The George.  There is also a very nice restaurant called The Hunt House.  You have your usual one school and playgroup.  In the school

there are usually around 90-120 pupils.  In the playgroup there is about 12 children.  The main secondary schools you can go to are Daventry William Parker with non-pay bus fare, Guilsborough School with pay bus fare.  If you pass the 11 plus examination you can go to Rugby High School for girls or Laurence Sherriff for boys.  You can also go to Ashlawn School in Rugby which has a grammar stream.

There is also a park, a village hall (which is available for parties), a village shop and Post Office and a Stove Shop.
