First a little about us…
Kinellar School is situated in the village of Blackburn on the Fintray
Road. Blackburn is off the A96, a few kilometres form Kintore. Most of the children
in the school come from the village but there are some who come from the surro
unding
countryside. They get the bus to school every day.
Our school was built in 1928, but input from the council has improved
the accommodation to make the building a welcoming place for both the children
and the staff. There is plenty of room for all of the 177 children in the
school who can move around from the hall to the 'Quiet Room', to the library
and back to their classroom again. There is also plenty of room in the school
grounds to play football, netball and a whole variety of playground games that
the 'Squaddies' organise every lunchtime. The younger children can also play on
wooden playground equipment, which was installed in the school earlier on this
year.

25/01/02 – Site goes live! - Paul
The new Kinellar Primary School
homepage finally goes live on the web, currently hosted by Wiredshire Ó The
Abderdeenshire Council’s school website hosting service. As you can see the
site is still under heavy development, the main reason for its premature
uploading to assist myself in testing some of the technical aspects of the
site.
