There are three full time equivalent staff: Head Teacher and two class teachers who are supported by a clerical assistant, a classroom assistant, a cleaner, playground supervisor and a lunchtime auxiliary.
The school has a very supportive school board with a full quota of members.
The Board meets every month and encourages parental feedback. The chairperson is named in the school handbook and parents are given contact phone numbers for the other board members. There is also a successful Parents Support Group.
The Parents Support Group raises funds each year by running one main event, the King Edward Barn Dance, which supplies sufficient funds to pay for most of the school bus trips, a visit to the Pantomime at Haddo House, gifts for every child at Christmas time and a Christmas Party.
In the year 97/98 the Support Group also bought chime bars for the school. Bus trips to local farms, Delgaty Mill, St. Marys Church and Aberdeen were all made possible by the Support Group. They also subsidised the cost of buses to the Swimming Pool at Turriff for swimming lessons.
In June, a Family Night was held at Cairnandrew Farm. This provided an excellent opportunity to congratulate our football team who won most of the area trophies this year.
