This year the lights in Abingdon are the same as last year's but there is a new light in the town. It is a picture/light of 'Santa on his sleigh'. Not that we need another one, but the people that put them up should be very proud of themselves.

The lights go all the way from the Vet/Cattery on the corner and then straight through to just past the Indian and the Courier Newspaper group. The lights also go up towards the Old Gaol swimming pool. I'm not quite sure what the best lights in Oxfordshire were, but the ones in Didcot are good this year .

In Abingdon town when they turned the lights on they had all sorts of activities going on and even a YO-YO competition. There were only 3 people in it and the person who won had a viper Yo-Yo which are the best ones you can buy. He won a fiver because he came 1st. 2nd Prize was 2 tickets to the comedy club at Guildhall in the abby grounds by the council offices. 3rd Prize was a Yo-Yo. I came second. Also, there was Fake snow that Tesco provided for the Abingdon Extravaganza.
