Road Safety

We wanted to find out how dangerous the roads outside our school are.  We watched the traffic on the Iffley Road near the school.

We counted the number of vehicles and pedestrians for 10 minutes at 10.30 am on a Tuesday morning. We placed marks on our tally chart when we were on the pavement. When we got into class we made a pie chart  using Excel.

We use the GREEN CROSS CODE to help us remember how to cross the road safely. 

Stop at the kerb
Look both ways
Listen for traffic
Walk across if safe

We practised this in school and out side on the road.
