Governors
The Governing Body is made up of 5 foundation governors, 4 Oxfordshire County Council nominees, 6 parent governors, 2 teacher governors, a staff governor, the Headteacher, and 2 co-opted governors. The Governing Body is responsible for making decisions about a range of issues, for example, the school’s curriculum, sex education, the school’s delegated budget, premises developments etc. There are governors’ committees for curriculum, personnel, facilities and finance. Governors meet six times per year, with committee meetings as necessary.

Parent Governors
Parent governors are elected by the parents, and serve for a period of four years. They have an important rôle helping to determine school policies, and in making decisions about finance, staff appointments and the development of the school generally. They also provide another link between parents and the school.

Any parent with a matter of concern is welcome to contact a parent governor. They will generally recommend that parents first raise specific matters concerning their son/daughter directly with the school staff but are always pleased to help if needed. On general matters, for example concerning school policy, the parent governor may well be the best person to approach.
