INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC
For children in KS2, showing a particular aptitude in music, a number of places are available each year for string, brass and woodwind lessons.
The school has a small number of violins for pupils to use over a trial period and fees for violins will depend upon the size of the group, ie whether it is a paired, group or individual lesson.
Violin lessons are provided by Miss Turpin, a County peripatetic teacher.
Woodwind and brass lessons are provided on a private basis by Mr Coomber. Should you wish your child to start, please contact Mr Coomber via the School Office. Invoices are sent from Mr Coomber to parents and any issues, regarding lessons or payment, should be communicated with him.
Children have the opportunity to enter music exams and take part in performances, and festivals, both inside and out of school.
