SWIMMING

All the children from Reception to Year 6 participate in swimming lessons, as swimming forms part of the National Curriculum requirements for PE. KS2 children use the Wootton Bassett pool, KS1 children use the learner pool at Hreod Parkway, and ten sessions are provided each term.

The children progress through the ASA Award Scheme leading to Challenge and Personal Survival Awards. Parents are invited to make a donation to School Funds in order to cover the costs involved – this is currently £15.50 for ten sessions. If your child is unable to attend a swimming session due to illness, please confirm this in writing.

Transport is by coach/mini-bus with each child occupying one seat fitted with a seat belt. Parental support with swimming sessions is greatly appreciated and if you are able to assist on the rota, please contact Mrs Godfrey.
