MISSION STATEMENT

Governors and staff work in partnership to fulfil their responsibilities.

Children feel valued, secure and take pride in being a member of Lydiard Millicent Primary School.

Staff feel valued, professionally challenged and personally satisfied.

Staff and children feel able to be individuals but part of the family.

Staff, Governors and Parents are committed to developing the whole child.

Children progress to the best of their ability in all areas (academic, creative, physical, religious, spiritual, social and moral).

Children feel involved in their learning by identifying targets and monitoring their progress.

Staff feel involved in the development of the school by identifying priorities and monitoring their implementation and effectiveness.

All children have access to a broad and balanced curriculum with an emphasis on Literacy, Numeracy, Science, IT and RE.

Staff and children create a stimulating interactive learning environment.

Staff have a firm, positive, consistent approach to discipline.

All members are committed to forming a partnership which involves parents and the wider community, especially the church, pre-school groups and Comprehensive Schools, in the life of the school.
