As a school, we are
committed to developing a partnership with parents.
Teachers are always available from
8.45 – 8.55 am and at 3.00 pm or by appointment.
Parents are invited to attend 3 Parent
Interviews with their child’s class teacher to discuss their child’s
progress and targets. These are held each term.
Newsletters are also
issued by class teachers and these include Literacy and Numeracy targets, as
well as an overview of the curriculum coverage for the term.
Written reports are produced for all
children at the end of each academic year annually. At the end of Year 2 and
Year 6, this will include the child’s SAT’s results.
Parents are also invited to join the
children’s class assemblies in the school hall and to share in
celebrations which are held at All Saints Church.
A monthly Literacy
Newsheet is produced by the Literacy Co-ordinator informing parents of
events and initiatives both within school and nationally and pupil’s
achievements are also celebrated.
Parent workshops have been undertaken
on the National Literacy and Numeracy Strategies, Science, ICT, PACT and
Homework. Further workshops will be undertaken, as and when appropriate, in
line with national and school developments.
Questionnaires are
also issued at regular intervals to ensure that parents are involved in the
school’s development.
Home/School Agreements have also been
implemented in line with DfEE recommendations.
