Other areas of advice and support

While I spend most of my time helping schools to develop and extend their use of computers in the classroom (and for staff's own use), much of my time prior to becoming independent was spent advising and supporting primary, secondary and special schools on more general "whole-school" issues, such as:

• producing, implementing, monitoring and reviewing Development Plans and Action Plans;
• National Curriculum planning, assessment and record-keeping;
• classroom management and organisation, including paired observations;
• the role of the co-ordinator;
• target setting and monitoring achievement;

I am an accredited Ofsted inspector for both Primary and Secondary phases, and took part in several inspections, which enable me to provide an "Ofsted's-eye" view of the situation in a school. As all schools in my previous LEA were inspected over a period of 18 months, I had substantial experience of supporting schools both pre- and post-Ofsted! I would hope, therefore, to be able to offer advice on most educational issues.
