Home School Agreement

Good communication between the school and the home is essential.  It is widely accepted that children achieve far more when schools and families work together.  Your support and encouragement are vital if your child is to make the most of their time at school.  We are confident that we already have good relationships with parents and pupils, but the Home-School Agreement will strengthen and formalise all our expectations.

This agreement is a serious undertaking by both the school and parents.  If you or your child should break the agreement, the head teacher will want to discuss the matter with you.  Please remember that the school also signs the agreement and it is equally important for us to keep to our side of the bargain.  We are confident that this new initiative will build on the success of our open door policy and lie comfortably alongside our discipline policy to further improve standards in our school.

What follows is a copy of the Home/School Agreement sent to all new pupils and parents starting at Malton Community Primary School.
