About our school

Mansfield Green is a newly built Junior/Infant School in Aston, Birmingham. We are a Birmingham City Council school with an award winning design that provides what is probably the best school environment in North Birmingham. The school opened in September 1992 for children aged from 4 to 11 years old and also has a part-time Pre-school Group for children aged 3 and over. We can admit up to 60 pupils in any one year group and, when full, 420 pupils will attend the school.

Our school provides for an ethnically diverse population and therefore we have a strong commitment to Equal Opportunities and the development of understanding and tolerance. The school seeks to enable pupils to develop their full potential academically, aesthetically and physically by providing a positive learning environment with the opportunity to study the National Curriculum.

I We are constantly looking for ways to enhance their IT experience and so are currently involved in revising our whole school approach to IT as well as participating in current IT projects (such as the ABC project).

Visitors to the school are welcome at any time during the school day, although if you make an appointment we can probably spend more time with you. Entry to the school is controlled and you will be required to report to the secretary's office before visiting a classroom. For obvious reasons, we need to ensure that there are no 'strangers' in the school.
