More Improvements Unless you have a child in year 6 you may not realise that this years tests show excellent improvements across the three subjects tested. In English, Mathematics and Science the percentage of children achieving level 4 and above has increased. In English, 63% achieved level 4 and above compared with 57% in 2000 In Mathematics, 53% achieved level 4 and above compared with 342% in 2000In Science, 73% achieved level 4 and above compared with 62% in 2000 This is great news for the school and it tells us how well we are teaching the children and how well they are learning. We also thank all parents and carers who have helped their children to learn more in school by supporting at home. The challenge now is for us to maintain and even further improve. The new year 6 next year will have to work very hard in order to improve on these results.. |
