This sheet is given to the pupils after they have had a chance to familiarise themselves with the airline booking simulation, and have worked out how to make bookings.

Answer these questions:
1. Which is the airport that serves the Netherlands called? Which city is it close to?
2. a) What is the name of the Paris airport that EuroAir flies to? b) What is its code?
3. What is the name of the Glasgow airport served by EuroAir?
4. What is the code for Rome's airport?
5. EuroAir serves which German city?
6. How many flights go from Heathrow to Paris? Give their flight numbers.
7. What is the time of the earliest flight from Glasgow to London?
8. What time does the last flight from Glasgow get to London?
9. Flights to Geneva go via which cities?
10. On which days does EuroAir fly to Italy?
11. What is the earlies time that I can get to Paris?
12. Where does EuroAir fly to on a Sunday?

Book an example flight, using these details:
A D Smith, London to Amsterdam, leaving on 10th Dec, returning on 14th Dec, economy class, 1 adult ticket.
13. a) How many seats are free on flight EA07? b) How much is this ticket going to cost?

Confirm the booking and return to the main booking screen. Then press F10 again, immediately.
14. What do you notice about the number of seats remaining?
15. Repeat this booking, but leaving on 20th Dec and returning on 24th Dec. How much does the ticket cost for these dates?
16. What is the difference between the black and the green dates on the calendar?
17. Repeat the booking but going out on 23rd Dec, returning on 25th Dec. What happens?
18. Why are two dates in blue on the calendar?
19. Re-enter the booking for A D Smith, using the details in Q13.
a) How many seats are left now? b) Why do you think that this is so?
20. a) What does the F9 (Chk Name) button do? b) Why is it there?
21. Which flights go to Glasgow and on which days of the week are they available?
