Quest is an open-ended play-by-mail game without set victory conditions moderated by KJC Games. You control the actions of a group of adventurers on the world of Kharne. You make the choices which control the destinies of your characters; will you seek wealth, knowledge, power, or maybe all three?

You will encounter thousands of monsters in your travels, and there are hundreds of players to interact with (there are approx. 1000 people per game). There are towns, cities, caves and monster lairs to be discovered, eight powerful gods to worship and literally hundreds of items to buy and sell.

You will receive a free player-produced newsletter regularly, allowing contact between yourself and others sharing your world of Kharne.

The programs used to moderate Quest took two years to write, and are being continually developed. Quest has its own full-time programmer constantly adding new features.

Quest turns can be entered by E-Mail, snail mail, telephone or fax, and you will usually receive your turn results (by snail mail) within two working days. Turns cost £2.00 (UK) and equivalent rates are in place for European players.

Quest and other KJC PBM games are often discussed in the newsgroup rec.games.pbm and the CompuServe Games Forum.

If you are interested, contact KJC Games, stating your real-world address, and you will receive an initial Quest "start-up" for a new group, plus three free turns, during which time you can decide whether you want to play or not. KJC has tens of thousands of satisfied customers around the world, there is no obligation to play if you don't want to, and you can stop at any time without any questions asked or money lost.
