Since relocating in Netherton less than a year ago, Satin Profiles has expanded its business and now has a turnover of £1.8 million a year.
The company is going from strength to strength making a wide range of PVC products, including their own Satin UPVC window system, that it sells all over the British Isles. The company's extrusion technology is unique to Merseyside. David Lanigan, Managing Director of Satin Profiles, explained that the business came to Netherton to move into premises that would allow the company to fulfil its potential. They wanted to stay in Merseyside because they were committed to a local workforce who would be prepared to help the business grow. Netherton proved to be the ideal location.
"There was a lot of support available from the Netherton Partnership which provided invaluable business advice when we were looking to relocate," said Mr Lanigan.
He went on to say that the attitude to people investing in the area is excellent with the Netherton Partnership and English Partnerships providing the right setting for businesses to move to. There is also good road structure to the motorway so that products can be transported in and out cheaply.
At the moment Satin Profiles employs 24 people with room for four more. The company wants to increase its market locally and its plans for the future are to grow the business profitably, to provide good quality training and employ more staff.
"We want people to be happy to come to work," says David Lanigan.
