Display work is central to the school, reflecting
the ethos, its standards and its commitment to providing a quality
learning environment.
Within the classroom, the key purposes of display
are to motivate, encourage and to set standards, to achieve this
a high profile should be given to the presentation of current
work. A rolling programme should be established to achieve this,
with a minimum of two thirds of each room being updated within
each theme. Classroom displays will be monitored by the teams
themselves, forming part of a team meeting each half term.
Work of the highest quality from each class should
be submitted for general use throughout the school and in the
gallery, to set the standard and to be available to a wider audience.
This policy reflects the mission statement of the
school which states:
"We will maintain and further develop a school environment of the highest quality, encouraging a sense of pride in our school."
"We will create a purposeful learning environment,
in which work of the highest standard is produced and all individuals
of all abilities are given every encouragement and opportunity
to realise their potential."
This policy is applicable to all teaching staff, and was produced on behalf of the
SMT. Following staff were directly involved in it's
creation.
