Personal Development - Planning & Training

When developing your Personal Development Profile it is advised that one section is compiled on INSET & courses to develop a full training history.

The schedule of INSET within school will be published monthly. These should go into your file.

Off site training, in the form of courses are selected to various criteria. It is necessary to complete an Evaluation form (document MMS/T4) for school records. You may also like to consider some additional forms that could be added to your P.D.P. The first (MMS/T1) 'focusing needs before training', aims to do exactly what the title suggests, and should act as a brief before a self-selected course. The second (MMS/T2) acts as a de-brief and encourages an action plan to put learning into action.

To assist in the process of Personal Development Planning it is helpful to review the tangible benefits from the course/training. Once an action plan is decided upon and deadlines set for the component parts a review date may be set to reflect on progress made. A format is suggested for this (see MMST/3), however you may well prefer to design one that you feel meets your own needs more closely.
