INITIATIVE:

Promoting the 'Learning Partnership' with particular reference to the PLANS project and the Homework initiative.

Co-ordinators: Ros Burman and Allen Andres

Main Aims:

Period of Initiative: April 1996 - March 1998

Specific Objectives:

  1. To inform parents clearly about how they can most effectively help their children with their education and guide them towards appropriate resources.
  1. To begin a consultative group on the home / school learning partnership.
  1. To hold two PSE evenings with a variety of workshops covering, a variety of topics.
  1. To hold a learning partnership evening.
  1. To collect data using a home work survey with children, parents and teachers.
  1. To extend the quality / satisfaction to the whole school.
  1. To more regularly share information about childrens achievements and progress in school.
  1. To send copies of childrens targets home at the beginning of each half term.
