Member of Strategy Group
- Work as part of the Strategy group addressing
short term and long term developments.
- Work with staff to ensure good communication
is maintained between the school, parents, LEA and the wider community.
- Become involved in the organisation and
presentation of Parents Evenings, reports to parents, Curriculum
Evening and other school events.
Curriculum Development
- Have an overview of the whole curriculum,
including National Curriculum, in school.
- Have responsibility for the maintenance
and development of planning and forecasting as a means of working
towards providing an interesting, balanced and differentiated
curriculum.
- Have an overview of cross curricular aspects,
links and developments.
- Co-ordinate the work of the Curriculum
Co-ordinators.
- Encourage and monitor curriculum initiatives
and developments in line with the schools development plan.
- Help develop the use of partnership teaching
arrangements throughout school.
- Help facilitate the maintenance and development
of curriculum documentation policy and practice.
- Encourage the use of the L.E.A. Support
/ Advisory Services where helpful.
- Encourage the use of a variety of teaching
and learning styles across the curriculum.
- Liaison with the Upper and Lower Schools
and co-ordinate a programme of co-ordination / subject teacher
visits.
- Look at the issues of continuity and progression
within the school.
- Help develop and put into place assessment
and record keeping systems.
- Encourage teacher and self assessment and
evaluation as a diagnostic tool where necessary.
- Liaise with the Upper and Lower school
co-ordinators to develop understanding, share knowledge and work
towards better continuity and progression across phases.
