Hello or goodday to any New Zealand viewers, I'd
just like to say a quick hello to anybody who has been able to
link into the web site of Mereway Middle School.
We have just joined the British Council Interlink
Project. What I hope to get out of the Interlink is to make more
friend's, learn how other people deal with situations and what
other schools methods of teaching different subjects are like.
It will also be good to compare two totally different
countries, that are so far apart, and the different challenges
they have to face.
A couple of miles down the road from my school is
the town centre of Northampton. Across the road from my house
there is a monument to Queen Eleanor , the wife of an English
king in Medieval times. She died and the King carried her body
across the country to her final resting place. Wherever he stopped
to rest he placed a monument to her, declaring his love.
Northampton is in central England and there was once
a battle between London and Northampton as to who would be the
capital city. Northampton because it was closer to the centre,
or London, because it was the biggest city of the time , Guess
who won?
However Northampton is a major town close to the
main motorway system that leads all over the country, so we can
travel to lots of different places.
