Next half-term's topic is Structures. This is a scientific study of sound and light and a technological investigation into the concepts of strength, rigidity, stress, stability and movement.

Next half-term's topic is Rocks and Soils. This is a scientific study of soils, rocks and fossils, focusing in particular upon where they come from and their uses and properties.

Next half-term's topic is Industry and Services. This is a geographical study into the development of industry, focusing upon different types of work in various locations and how the nature of work is changing - locally, nationally and globally.

Next half-term's topic is Making of the UK. This is a history-based study which looks at the changing relationship between Crown, Parliament and People. Particular emphasis is placed on the causes and consequences of the Civil War.

Year 7 will be working hard next half term to set up and run a French Patisserie.
Students will research peoples' tastes in naughty, but nice, delicacies and check their production costs to ensure a profitable endeavour.
Those selected to serve in the Patisserie will be speaking French so make sure you have those phrase books at the ready!
This venture has always proved to be a great success, the epitomy of the motto Excellence and Enjoyment in Learning.
